Well, I haven't joined a Theme Thursday for a long, long, VERY long time.
Today's Theme Thursday, hosted by California to Korea, is CONTRAST.
I like playing around with contrast in photos, and very occasionally, I'm happy with the results.
This last year has been so fabulous, so difficult, SO FULL of contrast, joy and sadness in full measure both. If only I had some of those filters on my life, make things a little warmer, a little less stark, make them appear as in the distant past. But if I filtered down the difficult, I think the joy would be less bright, less noticeable.
Less, well, JOYFUL. The difficult makes the contrast of joy so much sharper.
In the not metaphorical world in which I actually live, I love playing with the colour and contrast of snapshots, not to make them look better or like I know what I'm doing, but to represent more accurately how I FELT at the time when I was there, seeing the scene. In it.
Shawnigan Lake, Vancouver Island where I live. Just an ordinary evening in paradise.
